The Ethiopian Dwarf Mongoose (Helogale hirtula), also known as the Desert Dwarf Mongoose or Somali Dwarf Mongoose, is a mongoose found in eastern Africa, particularly Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia. There is a strict hierarchy among same-sexed animals within a group, headed by the dominant pair (normally the oldest group members).
